Since 1978, Lovejoy Health Center’s team of medical providers and support staff has provided the highest quality health care. In 2009, 4,047 area residents utilized our services making us one of the busiest practices in the HealthReach system of 11 practices. Our physicians also provide hospital care at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville.

Since we opened over 30 years ago, residents from the towns of Albion, China, Freedom, Palermo, Thorndike, Troy, Unity, and other surrounding communities have utilized our health center for their medical care. With the help of our supportive community board, we have expanded numerous times over the past three decades.

Lovejoy offers a full range of primary care services including obstetrics. In addition, with the assistance of a federal grant, we provide a new model of care which more closely involves patients in their health care. This "Planned Care Model" has been very well received by patients and assists them in achieving better health outcomes.

Located in Central Maine, Lovejoy Health Center resides in Albion, east of Waterville and west of Belfast, a coastal town. Locals and travelers alike value our farming community, which is home to some of Maine’s largest dairy herds. The community is known for its scenic rolling hills and wide-open fields. A short commute provides residents with job opportunities, shopping centers, outdoor recreational adventures and cultural activities.
