Established in 1978, Lovejoy Health Center is one of the most active practices in the HealthReach family, serving 4,300 area residents in 2011. A tireless team of medical providers and support staff offers a full range of primary care services including obstetrics. Our physicians also care for Lovejoy patients at Maine General Medical Center in Waterville if they require hospitalization.

For 30 years, residents from the towns of Albion, China, Freedom, Palermo, Thorndike, Troy, Unity, and other surrounding communities have accessed care at our practice. Over the years, numerous expansions and fundraisers have been fueled by the support of our community board. Funds from the community have supported initiatives that enhance healthcare at the health center.

Lovejoy Health Center resides in Albion, east of Waterville and west of Belfast, a coastal town. Albion has a proud history linked to freedom of the press and Maine’s narrow gauge railway. The central village, impressive elementary school, and library contribute to the intimate and family friendly nature of the town. The farming community persists, as Albion is home to some of Maine’s largest dairy herds. A short commute provides residents with job opportunities, shopping centers, outdoor recreational adventures and cultural activities.
